Global Finance
The Global Finance Group in NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business supports research in economics and finance with a focus on the global financial system. It includes research on the development of financial markets, the activities of global financial centers, the contribution of multinational banks to economic development, as well as the design of financial regulations and the management of financial crises.
The research group’s goal is to foster high-quality research that includes both empirical and theoretical work. We develop a rich set of facts about the size, nature and location of financial assets and financial firms, and we propose models to evaluate their impact on risk, trade and growth, and to offer insight for financial regulations.
