Improving your slide decks

October 24th, 2024 at 12:15pm ET

Do you want students to retain what they’ve learned from your lessons?

Great teaching starts with great delivery, which is directly tied to in-class presentations and slide decks that follow evidence-based principles.

In our upcoming 45-minute workshop, the Learning Science Lab team will share key strategies to improve your existing slide decks to facilitate understanding and enhance the student experience.

Record teaching videos

More and more, faculty may find they need to record videos for their teaching.

You may be teaching an online or hybrid course, or looking to “flip” your traditional class and share content before meeting in person. Or you may have other instructional needs like giving feedback on assignments or creating class announcements.

That’s why we created the comprehensive guide and site, Recording Yourself for Teaching, which walks faculty through best practices for self-recording educational videos.
