The mission of Department of Accounting is to create, debate and disseminate knowledge about the measurement and communication of financial and non-financial information that will inform our students, alumni, managers and capital market participants and facilitate rational financial, economic and policy decisions.

Prof. Christine Cuny
Received the 2021-2022 Distinguished Teaching Award. Prof. Christine Cuny teaches residential and online courses in Financial Statement Analysis in undergraduate and graduate schools.
Prof. Amal Shehata
Received the 2020-2021 Distinguished Teaching Award on April 06, 2021. Prof. Amal Shehata teaches residential and online courses in financial accounting and auditing in undergraduate and graduate schools. She has recently created a new course, Accounting and the Blockchain, that explores how this technology will impact many dimensions of the accounting industry.
Professor Baruch Lev
Received an honorary doctorate from the Universiteit Hasselt in Belgium (given once every five years), and was appointed as the Copernicus Chair in Economics from the University of Ferrar in Italy.
